Done And Coming

I’ve been working on this for AGES. Unfortunately, I have no official start-date for this long-time UFO (Unfinished Fabric Object (Is it a UFO? Not technically fabric I suppose, but it’s sort of in the same boat as all those things…Right?)) but it’s been at some stage of construction for at least a year now (Conservative estimate). AND NOW…

It’s done!!!!!!!!

And along with this complete crochet project, I have started a mystery…

Well Then…

So, dearest readers, I forgot you. I am SO sorry, but I just now got on my blog and realized a horrifying thing. I have not posted since HALLOWEEN. Oops. So, a few updates. I’m making a quilt for an old teacher who is having her first baby (It’s a girl, pictures of the quilt soon). I’m also working on a forever-old afghan project (Again, pictures soon). Something I can show you a picture of is my Thanksgiving (Better late than never). I got to spend my holiday at my Grandparents, and I got to see my cousins.

Abi+Kacey

The adorable 6-year-old is my cousin Kacey. She’s the energy of the family, and can always make me smile.

I’ll try to post more frequently,

Afghan Times

I recently visited my grandparents, and while we were there my Grandma gave me a bag with some yarn in it. It was very pretty yarn, all pinks and blues and yellows, in baby tints. After rummaging in the bag a bit, I realised that it was a partially made blanket, but that was made with knitting needles. Neither my mom nor I knit, and I had a purpose in mind for the yarn, so during the drive home, I unwound the partially made object, and started something of my own. There was a new baby in my ward, so why not?

I also added a little decorative edge to the afghan. So cute! I love it and hope that its new owners will too.

Snuggly Success

I don’t know if I’ve told you, but I like making afghans. BIG afghans.  They take me half of forever, but they are a lot of fun.

Picking all the yarn, and which order to use it in is really fun, but they somehow end up monstrous. How did that happen????????

For instance, I am 5’6″. The afghan is bigger than me fully stretched out. Wow. I never mean to do that, but it does happen. Oh well…

Too Much Time On My Hands

For the past little while I have had way too much time on my hands. If you’re wondering why, it’s because I had heart surgery on January tenth. Thank you for everything you guys have done, and for all the kindness you have shown me. I am completely recovered and back to school and dancing and hopefully lots of sewing.

Anyway,  I had a lot of time to work while I was recovering so I finished that afghan I was working on.

It is a simple, giant granny square (58″ square)  with lots of bright colors–two rows of color (any color really) and one row of white. It is a birthday present for a family member.

Thank you all for everything you do,
